The Augustana University Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Post-Graduate Certificate Programs are approved by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA). These programs also have interim approval from the South Dakota Board of Nursing.
The Augustana University Nursing Program will host an accreditation visit by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) on Sept. 27-29, 2023. The Master of Science and Postgraduate Certificate programs will be evaluated for accreditation.
In accordance with the CCNE’s accreditation process, there is opportunity for program constituents and other interested parties to submit, in writing, comments concerning our program’s qualifications for accreditation. Comments must be received by Sept. 6, 2023, which is 21 days prior to the first day of the evaluation visit. Only signed comments are accepted by CCNE.
CCNE shares third-party comments with members of the evaluation team prior to the visit, but at no time during the review process are these comments shared with the program. During its review of the program, the evaluation team considers third-party comments that are related to the accreditation standards: CCNE Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Programs (2018). Third-party comments must be signed and written in English, consistent with CCNE's policy on Conduct of Business in English.
If you would like to submit a third-party comment for the Augustana Graduate Nursing Program, please submit to thirdpartycomments@ccneaccreditation.org.
